On October 15th, Biofriction organizes the activity Generation-of-world(s). Connections and interferences between the thinking of Donna Haraway and Martin Heidegger, a proposal that is part of the Biennial of Thought 2020.
The activity intends to generate a meeting space where to approach the thought of Martin Heidegger and Donna Haraway in relation to the generation of possible worlds. Which are the connections between the contemporary configuration of Haraway and the philosophical proposal of Heidegger? How does the generation of world understand both proposals? How do the (bio)technologies affect the generation-of-world(s)? If we are formers of possible world(s), which are our responsibilities and how do they affect the articulation of futures?
The meeting consists of two interventions that introduce the attendees to specific questions of Heidegger’s and Haraway’s thinking around the notion of world-generation. Afterwards, there will be a debate between the participants and the audience.
Participants: Jesús Adrián Escudero and Helen Torres. Moderator: Laura Benítez Valero
